BA378 Group Work Plan
Please organize yourselves into five-student teams. Group work is critical for business success, especially in public accounting and information systems development. Industry representatives repeatedly stress the importance of these experiences.
The first two Group deliverables are a team list and a group work plan.
To help me with grading, please label each group assignment with:
- a class designation (e.g. BA378, T/TH 12:00),
- a group name, and
- the name of each group member.
The team list is due on the first day of the second week of class. Because the team sizes may not come out even, we can discuss team membership in class as needed. We will also try to iron out team topics that same day. Each team should turn in a list designating:
- The class and section
- A group name
- Each group member's name
- A first, second, third, and fourth choice for a presentation topic
- The name of a business (real or imagined) which you plan to use in your team project
The group work plan demonstrates that you have discussed your projects and begun forming a plan of action to achieve excellent results. It should include:
- A project section including:
- The name of a business (real or imagined) which you plan to use in your team project
- A list of the deliverables for the project with an estimate (guess!) of how long it will take to complete each step and the project's due date
- A topic section including:
- A list of several (3 or more) references you might use
- A narrative (one to three paragraphs) describing the topic
- A tentative outline of your paper (with an approximate number of pages)
A list naming each team member with one or more action items they are currently responsible for
The work plan is due at the same time as assignment PRJ1.
These plans should help me help you as you get going on your group assignments.
