OVERVIEW:
This broad survey course is designed to introduce you to the world of
business. Specifically, BA 101 students
will learn to:

key business disciplines and career opportunities.

computer simulation
Clicker
by Qwizdom (bring this to class every day, extra batteries are a good idea too)
GRADING
I will give plus and minus grades as follows: 94 and above = A, 90-93 = A-, 87-89 = B+, 84-86 = B, 80-83 = B-, 77-79 = C+, 74-76 = C, 70-73 = C-, 67-69 = D+, 64-66 = D, 60-63 = D-, 59 and below= F. The composition of your grade is determined by a mixture of individual and group efforts, specifically:

Work (77%):
25% Final Exam - During Exam Week, Time TBA
15% First Mid-Term Exam – Friday, April 17th
15% Second Mid-Term Exam – Monday, May 11th
10% Class Participation
11% Memos
1% Simulation Rehearsal - (before class) Wednesday, May 6th
Group Graded Work (23%):
10% Excel Exercise – (in lab) Tuesday, May 5th
3% Simulation Final Rank in Industry
5% Creative Communication Assignment
5% Peer Evaluation from Simulation
LATE ASSIGNMENTS
Unexcused late assignments will lose one point for every day that they are
late.
