System Definition
A system is assumed to be
- any object of thinking
- that is delimitable
- the delimited parts form the environment
- the system has properties refering to the environment
- the system has a functionality
- it can consist of sub-systems
- they interact by means of relations
A system definition can be derived from these assumptions:
- A system consists of elements.
- The elements have attributes (properties and functions).
- Elements interact by means of relations.
- An element may be a system.
