Lecture: Opening activities, file management concepts. 

 Also:

  1. Your first assignment (#1) is due the second Wednesday of the term at midnight.

  2. Go to the Bexell Hall Labs and ask a lab assistant to take your digital picture.  This is required--you will use this picture in several assignments.  This picture will be used in professional and business settings; please dress accordingly (no hats, caps, sunglasses). 

4/4 Wednesday

  • Learn about file management and the network.

  • Practice #1 in Bx324.

  • Build charts with Excel.

Midterm Exam!

 Midterm Exam!  The exam is given on Monday in the Bexell Hall labs (Room 112-on the first floor).  Arrive at the Bexell Lab sometime between 10 a.m. and noon and ask Dave Sullivan how to get started.

5/9 Wednesday

  • Assignment #5 Lecture: Building spreadsheet models, creating an income statement model.

  • Begin work on assignment #5: Spreadsheet Models.

  • Assignment # 4 Resubmit Due -- Resubmit of Spreadsheet Basics Assignment due at midnight.

  • Assignment Lecture: Presenting data graphically, what-if analysis.

  • Assignment #7 Part 1: Advanced spreadsheet models and formulas.  Creating dynamic links between Word and Excel, Mail Merge. DUE MONDAY, June 4th at 1 pm in the afternoon!

I will give the final exam twice ... and I plan on letting you choose which time is most convenient for your personal schedule:

  • Friday 6/15 @  7:30-9:20 am

  • Friday @ 2 p.m. -- Fluffy Competency Video Due (last time to submit to avoid receiving an F in the course overall)!
