Topic Assignment
Schedule for Discussion/Presentation Teams
Eight (8) teams, consisting of 5-6
students, shall be designated the first day of class. The team assignments below require an
in-class power point presentation limited to 10 minutes (except for the final
simulation). Each team will
make 3 presentations during the term.
It is important FOR EACH MEMBER OF THE TEAM to (1) read the assigned
chapter and posted materials (2) meet with your team outside of class for
research, discussion and preparation (3) select a presenter(s) (4) be clear and
concise in identifying the most relevant information and (5) prepare a few key
discussion questions for the class.
ASSUME YOU ARE A CONSULTANT TEAM WITH THE TASK OF ADVISING MANAGERS OF
WHAT THEY NEED TO KNOW AND DO. Text
related power point information is posted for reference. Research the topic beyond the text and
posted materials as necessary.
Dont read from the text! No
written materials need to be turned in, but email your power point presentation
to me prior to class. Note that
each team needs to maintain a record of presenters and their topics, to be
turned in at the time of participation evaluation; one person should assume the
role of recorder. It is also
important to avoid overlap of information in presentations, so review all of the
team assignments closely.
NOTE:
CHECK THE CLASS SCHEDULE FOR EXACT DATES OF PRESENTATIONS. PLAN NOW! MEET WITH YOUR TEAM DURING THE FIRST
WEEK OF CLASS TO PLAN & PREPARE ADEQUATELY.
