Sound Recorder
Microsoft Sound Recorder is a simple, rather crude program. It comes bundled with
Microsoft Windows and lets you record short audio files quickly and easily.
Hint for recording sound files longer than 60 seconds: Each time that
you click the red record button, Sound Recorder will add 60 seconds of
electronic tape to the recorder. This means Sound Recorder will stop recording
after 60 seconds. To continue recording, click the red record button again. This
will give you another 60 seconds of recording time. Thus, to record a 200-second
sound file, you will have to click the record button four times.
