Video ClipsI periodically get reports from people who have trouble playing the video clips in the BA271 website. Here is a strategy that will play the videos for sure. It may take a bit longer to do, but it will work reliably. Begin by sitting at a computer with a functioning headset--or ask the lab assistant to let you check out a headset. The videos make a lot more sense if you can hear what is being said. Next, rather than click on the video clip's hyperlink with the left mouse button, click on it with the right mouse button. Then choose "Save target as ..." from the fly out list. Store the video file on a hard disk, such as drive C or P. Next, use My Computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to drive C and double click on the video file directly. This should reliably open and play the video clip. Finally, when you are done, don't forget to delete the video clip from disk. They are large and can cause your total storage allocation on our network to be exceeded. If that happens, you won't be able to store new files on our network. The video files in this library are large -- about 5 megabytes per minute of video -- so this library will only make sense if you have a fast Internet connection.
