Course Description – 2 Credits: Lecture 2 hours per week

This course offers an in-depth discussion on advanced quantitative methods most relevant to business students.  Topics may include regression analysis, time series and forecasting, design of experiments, simulations, decision analysis, survey data analysis, data mining and computationally intensive statistical methods.

Learning Outcomes

This project-oriented quantitative course enables students to apply advanced quantitative methods to projects that are related to their functional disciplines.  The selected topics will be highly integrated to enhance student learning in their perspective business field.  Upon completion of this course, students will be able to

§  state the purposes of the selected quantitative methods with respect to their own field,

§  examine business problems from a quantitative angle,

§  apply the appropriate quantitative methods to perform computer-assisted analysis,

§  interpret the results of analyses and communicate those results to a non-statistical audience.
