COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The BA160 Series - An Entrepreneurial Experience

The BA160 Series is comprised of three interrelated classes designed for students who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial managers. Topics include evaluating entrepreneurial capabilities, creativity and innovation, opportunity assessment, impression management, social entrepreneurship and business plan creation and implementation.  Students who complete all three classes will be issued a ‘Certificate in Entrepreneurship.’

BA 162 – From Ideas to Reality

BA162 is a one-credit course where students will have the opportunity to explore the commercial potential for an idea by writing a business plan for it.  The course will address the basics of a business plan including: concept feasibility, market assessment, competition, finance, intellectual property, building management teams, and pitching a concept.

While participation in BA 160 and/or BA 161 is not a formal requirement for taking BA 162, many students will find that the knowledge and experience they gained in BA 160 and/or BA 161 will be very helpful in BA 162.
